Congratulations to the 2018 RAMMYS Winners: Book a Table to Experience the Best of DC

2018 RAMMYS Winners

Last night, the Restaurant Association Metropolitan Washington’s 2018 RAMMY awards gala took place at the  Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, D.C. A celebration of the capital’s restaurant and hospitality culture, the RAMMY awards bring together the city’s culinary community for a night of food and drink with a healthy side of activism. OpenTable was proud to host the winner’s circle, where the Taittinger Champagne flowed as award recipients posed with their trophies.

Notable movements that were highlighted included a very vocal opposition to Initiative 77, which would eliminate the tip credit in Washington, D.C. Restaurateur Dan Simons (Founding Farmers) and his team gathered signatures from attendees who pledged to #StopSucking in support of the Our Last Straw coalition, which is seeking to get a ban on plastic straws in D.C. passed.
