Tweet of the Week: The Proof Is in Your OpenTable 2013 Dining Year in Review

If you booked a restaurant reservation with OpenTable in 2013 (and you’re opted in to receive email from us), we’ve got a delicious peek back at the year that was — in restaurant reservations! You can see how many times you reserved, where you dined, how many bookings were made via your mobile device, and much more. You can also, as diner @ScottBoehme has, show your significant other how many times you shared a meal together. Watch your inbox for your 2013 dining year in review email. And, thanks for sharing your tweet, Scott. PS: In your girlfriend’s defense, there’s always room for more dinner dates.

Tweet of the Week: Setting the Table with OpenTable

We were thrilled to host hospitality expert and restaurateur Danny Meyer of Union Square Hospitality Group last week. Mr. Meyer, an OpenTable board member, is the author of Setting the Table, a book that has quickly become the industry guidebook for restaurant professionals. It was a happy coincidence, then, that restaurateur Alex Wrethman of Charlotte’s Table in London recently sent a tweet showing how much he and his staff have taken Mr. Meyer’s advice to “Be the agent!” to heart. Thanks for sharing this tweet, Alex. We love the placement of your reminder, by the way. Diners in search of amazing hospitality can be sure to find it at Charlotte’s Table — and at any of Mr. Meyer’s establishments, naturally.

Tweet of the Week: The Wind Beneath Your Reservations

This sweet tweet from diner Amy (aka @NoMeatballs) made our week! We’re so very glad to power your dinner reservations. But, we have to ask, Amy — why no meatballs?

Tweet of the Week: OpenTable Gets a Shout-Out on The CW’s Beauty and the Beast

OpenTable has gotten a few nods in popular culture (Chuck, for one). Diner and Beauty and the Beast watcher Carla M. (aka @misscarla715) tipped us off to the very latest. You can tune in to see it for yourself here (it comes up at the 4:50 mark). Thanks, Carla M. for sending the Tweet of the Week, and thanks to the clever writers of Beauty and the Beast for the name-check!
