OpenTable is pleased to announce the winners of the 2011 Diners’ Choice Awards for the top 50 restaurants with notable wine lists. Derived from more than 10 million reviews submitted by OpenTable diners for more than 12,000 restaurants in all 50 states and the District of Columbia, the list of honorees is a terrific guide for oenophiles.
This geographically diverse list of winners, which includes Aureole in Las Vegas, Frasca Food and Wine in Boulder, RN74 in Seattle, and Veritas in New York, highlights 50 restaurants in 21 different states. California, arguably home to the nation’s best wine producers, boasts an impressive 11 award-winning restaurants. New York, Maryland and Virginia establishments took four spots apiece, while North Carolina and Washington boasted three each. Colorado, Delaware, Illinois, Michigan and Nevada are home to two honorees each, while additional states to earn a place on the list include Connecticut, Kansas, Ohio, Oregon, Texas and Wisconsin, among others.
“The entire team at RN74 is very grateful to be honored for our wine list. We strive to offer not only the best of Burgundy, but the best our local wineries have to offer, and we’re very proud of both. We are working diligently to introduce our guests to new and exciting wines, and we plan to grow our list by double this coming year,” said Eric Perlin, the general manager at award-winning restaurant RN74 Seattle.
