Chicago 2015 Michelin-Starred Restaurants: Book a Table Today!

grace blgoOpenTable is pleased to highlight the honorees in the MICHELIN Guide Chicago 2015. Twenty-four restaurants are included, with two Chicago restaurant receiving the Michelin three-star level, the highest recognition in the culinary world, and three achieving two Michelin stars. Nineteen restaurants earned one Michelin star, including goosefoot and Moto.

Being included in the respected MICHELIN Guide is a sign of excellence and quality. In the U.S., Chicago is one of only three cities where Michelin publishes an annual guide. The others are New York and San Francisco. The MICHELIN Guide New York 2015 was published October 1, and the MICHELIN Guide San Francisco 2015 was released on November 12.

Congratulations to Chicago’s 2014 Jean Banchet Nominees

The nominees for Chicago’s prestigious Jean Banchet Awards were announced yesterday. Held annually, the awards acknowledge culinary excellence in the Windy City. The winners will be announced early next year, on January 30, at the 18th annual Grand Chefs Gala to benefit the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.

Nineteen restaurants are included, with one Chicago restaurant receiving the Michelin three-star level, the highest recognition in the culinary world, and two achieving two Michelin stars, including Graham Elliot, which moved from one star to two. Sixteen restaurants earned one Michelin star, with four new additions.

We return with Top Chef: Texas and Ed Hardy of Red Rooster Harlem as we talk turkey (ha!) about this week’s highly quotable episode.

My best friend Michele has a theory about why this season stinks. It’s because it followed ‘All Stars’ and we just really all knew and kinda loved — or kinda hated — the folks competing. These poor people can’t live up to that. Plus, the challenges are getting stale.

I think it’s the predictability of the entire thing. You already know what’s coming with the challenges and whatnot. After the excitement of the 5,000 chef battle royale, the show settled down. Even the cheftestants look bored. And, where’s the really irritating personality like Marcel?
