San Francisco Bay Area & Wine Country 2012 Michelin Star Recipients

Michelin-starred chefs Daniel Patterson of Coi, Christopher Kostow of The Restaurant at Meadowood, and Richard Reddington of Redd.

OpenTable is pleased to offer our sincere congratulations to the 2012 San Francisco Michelin star recipients! This year, 47 restaurants received well-deserved stars.

A single star from Michelin is impressive and indicates that a restaurant is very good, while three stars means that a restaurant is a destination in and of itself, worthy of a special culinary expedition.

The French Laundry and The Restaurant at Meadowood received three stars each. The two-star category grew by three, with Baumé, Benu, and Saison joining Coi, Cyrus, and Manresa.

New single-star honorees include Atelier CrennLa CostaneraMichael Mina, and Sons & Daughters. They join restaurants retaining their one-star rating, such as AcquerelloAlexander’s SteakhouseAmeApplewood InnAuberge du SoleilAzizaBouchonBoulevardCampton PlaceChez TJCommisDio DekaétoileFarmhouse Inn & RestaurantFleur de LysFrances, La FolieLa ToqueLuceMaderaMadrona ManorMasa’sOne MarketQuinceRedd, SantéSolbarSpruceUbuntu, and The Village Pub.

New York City 2012 Michelin Starred Restaurants Revealed

OpenTable is pleased to highlight the honorees in the MICHELIN Guide New York City 2012. Seven New York restaurants have received the Michelin three-star level, the highest recognition in the culinary world, while nine have achieved two Michelin stars, including new additions L’Atelier de Joel Robuchon and SHO Shaun Hergatt. Forty-six restaurants earned one Michelin star.

Being included in the respected MICHELIN Guide is a sign of excellence and quality. Only 93 restaurants in the world currently hold three stars. Of those, seven are in New York City.  In the U.S., New York is one of only three cities where Michelin publishes an annual guide. The others are San Francisco and Chicago. The MICHELIN Guide San Francisco 2012, the city’s sixth edition, will be introduced Oct. 25, and the MICHELIN Guide Chicago 2012 will be announced on Nov. 15.
