New York City 2014 Michelin Starred Restaurants Named: Book a Table Today!

TMGNYC2014OpenTable is pleased to highlight the honorees in the MICHELIN Guide New York City 2014. Sixty-seven restaurants are included, with seven New York restaurants receiving the Michelin three-star level, the highest recognition in the culinary world, with five achieving two Michelin stars. Fifty-five restaurants earned one Michelin star, with nine new additions, including Carbone, Lincoln Ristorante, and The Musket Room.

Being included in the respected MICHELIN Guide is a sign of excellence and quality. In the U.S., New York is one of only three cities where Michelin publishes an annual guide. The others are San Francisco and Chicago. The MICHELIN Guide San Francisco 2014, the city’s seventh edition, will be introduced Oct. 23, and the MICHELIN Guide Chicago 2014 will be published on Nov. 13.

OpenTable Reviews Reveal Top 100 Scenic View Restaurants — with Exclusive Slideshow!

At the height of summer vacation season, we are pleased to announce the 2013 Diners’ Choice Award winners for the Top 100 Scenic View Restaurants in the United States. These awards reflect the combined opinions of more than 5 million reviews submitted by verified OpenTable diners for more than 15,000 restaurants in all 50 states and the District of Columbia.

The list of winners spans 29 states and includes Canlis in Seattle, Five Sixty by Wolfgang Puck in Dallas, and Top of the Hub in Boston.  The picturesque state of California makes a strong showing with 22 honorees. Washington follows with seven top scenic restaurants, trailed by Maryland, Nevada, and New York, with six winners each. Oregon restaurants claim five spots on the list, and Massachusetts and North Carolina have each earned four spots apiece. Missouri, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania all boast three winners. Alaska, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Maine, Michigan, Ohio, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Texas, Virginia, and Wisconsin each have two winning restaurants. Arizona, Colorado, Minnesota, New Mexico, and Utah are also represented. Eateries specializing in American fare, including Californian and Pacific Northwest regional, proved particularly popular, as did seafood restaurants.

OpenTable Diner Reviews Name Top 75 Kid-Friendly Restaurants in U.S.

Judging by this list, kids clearly love Italian food!

Just in time for Father’s Day and summer vacations, we are pleased to announce the 2012 Diners’ Choice Award winners for the Top 75 Kid-Friendly Restaurants in the United States. These awards reflect the combined opinions of nearly 5 million reviews submitted by verified OpenTable diners for more than 15,000 restaurants in all 50 states and the District of Columbia.

Mangia was the word on tiny diners’ lips as Italian cuisine, especially that which is served at nationwide Buca di Beppo restaurants, proved extremely popular for the second year in a row. American fare was also a hit with kids and their families, with 17 restaurants offering homegrown dishes. Healthful choices were also crowd-pleasers, as Japanese food and seafood each accounted for 8 wins. Other popular cuisines included comfort food, Mexican, and steak.

OpenTable Diner Reviews Reveal the 100 Most Romantic Restaurants in the U.S.

Romance definitely means different things to different diners.

In anticipation of Valentine’s Day, OpenTable is pleased to announce the 2012 Diners’ Choice Award winners for the 100 most romantic restaurants in the United States. These awards reflect the combined opinions of nearly 5 million reviews submitted by verified OpenTable diners for more than 12,000 restaurants in all 50 states and the District of Columbia.

With 30 winning restaurants serving American cuisine, it is clear that chefs are seducing OpenTable diners with local ingredients and homegrown inspiration. Naturally, reviewers also acknowledged the birthplace of fine dining by honoring 25 restaurants that serve food borne out of the kitchens of France. And Italian restaurants, which are closely associated with serving the world’s most sensual foods, account for an impressive 11 award winners. Transcending cuisine, restaurants that feature shared dishes proved popular, with 16 fondue restaurants making the list. Seven steakhouses also earned kudos.

Regionally, honorees cover 31 states and Washington, D.C., with California claiming 16 spots on the list and Texas taking eight places. New York restaurants earn seven wins, while Hawaii boasts six standouts, and Nevada and Ohio take five wins apiece. Arizona, Colorado, and Florida each count four restaurants. Also represented are Illinois, Indiana, Louisiana, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Utah, and Washington, among others.
