OpenTable Reviews Reveal Top 100 Scenic View Restaurants — with Exclusive Slideshow!

At the height of summer vacation season, we are pleased to announce the 2013 Diners’ Choice Award winners for the Top 100 Scenic View Restaurants in the United States. These awards reflect the combined opinions of more than 5 million reviews submitted by verified OpenTable diners for more than 15,000 restaurants in all 50 states and the District of Columbia.

The list of winners spans 29 states and includes Canlis in Seattle, Five Sixty by Wolfgang Puck in Dallas, and Top of the Hub in Boston.  The picturesque state of California makes a strong showing with 22 honorees. Washington follows with seven top scenic restaurants, trailed by Maryland, Nevada, and New York, with six winners each. Oregon restaurants claim five spots on the list, and Massachusetts and North Carolina have each earned four spots apiece. Missouri, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania all boast three winners. Alaska, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Maine, Michigan, Ohio, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Texas, Virginia, and Wisconsin each have two winning restaurants. Arizona, Colorado, Minnesota, New Mexico, and Utah are also represented. Eateries specializing in American fare, including Californian and Pacific Northwest regional, proved particularly popular, as did seafood restaurants.

OpenTable Diner Reviews Reveal Top 100 Most Romantic Restaurants in the U.S.

What’s your recipe for romantic dining? A fireside table? Fine wine? Or the right dining companion?

As we look forward to the romance of Valentine’s Day, we are pleased to announce the 2013 Diners’ Choice Award winners for the Top 100 Most Romantic Restaurants in the United States. These awards reflect the combined opinions of more than 5 million reviews submitted by verified OpenTable diners for more than 15,000 restaurants in all 50 states and the District of Columbia.

The list of winners, which includes Canlis in Seattle, Madrona Manor in Healdsburg, Calif., and White Barn Inn in Kennebunk, Maine, spans 32 states. California restaurants earned 16 spots on the list, followed by Hawaii with 10 winners and Florida with eight. Virginia boasts seven winning restaurants, trailed by Ohio and Texas with six honorees apiece. Nevada, New York, and Tennessee all have five winning restaurants, while Arizona and Utah have four each. Colorado restaurants earned three spots, as did those in Illinois, Indiana, Maine, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Rhode Island, and South Carolina. Idaho, Louisiana, Missouri, Oregon, and Washington restaurants are also included, among others.

Cheese pleases, as fondue, especially that which is served at nationwide The Melting Pot restaurants, proved extremely popular for the fourth year in a row. American regional fare accounted for almost half the spots on the list. French cuisine was also well represented. Just in time for summer travel and staycations, we are pleased to announce the 2012 Diners’ Choice Award winners for the Top 100 Scenic View Restaurants in the United States. These awards reflect the combined opinions of more than 5 million reviews submitted by verified OpenTable diners for more than 15,000 restaurants in all 50 states and the District of Columbia.

The winners span 29 states with California handily outpacing the pack with37 honorees. Washington came in a distant second with eight winning restaurants, followed by five winners in New York and Illinois. Arizona, Florida, Nevada, New Jersey, Ohio, and Texas count three winning restaurants each, while Alaska, Massachusetts, Missouri, New Mexico, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and Wisconsin have two each. Other states represented include Colorado, Connecticut, Georgia, Hawaii, Indiana, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Rhode Island, South Carolina, and Utah. The Chart House, renowned for selecting some of the nation’s most stunning sites for their restaurants, earned 10 of the 100 spots on the list.

Top 100 Restaurants in the U.S.: 2011 Diners’ Choice Award Winners Revealed

OpenTable is pleased to announce the winners of the 2011 Diners’ Choice Awards for top 100 best overall restaurants in the U.S. Derived from more than 10 million reviews submitted by OpenTable diners for more than 12,000 restaurants in all 50 states and the District of Columbia, the list of honorees is a terrific dining guide for the year ahead!

The honorees span 34 states and Washington, D.C., and include Canlis in Seattle, Barbara Lynch’s Menton in Boston and John Besh’s Restaurant August in New Orleans. North Carolina tied the dining mecca of California with ten winning restaurants, while New York eateries claimed seven spots. South Carolina, Texas and Virginia each took six places. Colorado and Ohio restaurants earned four wins apiece, and Florida, Illinois, Massachusetts and Minnesota all won three nods. States also represented on the list of winners include Alaska, Arizona, Hawaii, Kentucky, Missouri, Nebraska, Rhode Island, and Tennessee, among others.
