Biting into a juicy burger is one of life’s purest pleasures. Though we will never turn our noses up at one simply topped with LTO, ketchup, and mustard, sometimes we yearn for one that goes above and beyond in its desire to impress. Ahead of Memorial Day weekend (for you diners who’d rather not trifle with backyard burgers) and National Hamburger Day on Sunday, here are 11 insanely over-the-top burgers that will blow your mind.
The Dorian, San Francisco, California
The burger: The Royal Dorian
The deal: Served on a silver platter under a cloche, the decadent delight features a foie gras torchon, truffle cheese, and self-proclaimed “fancy sauce.”

The burger: Mac & Cheese Burger
The deal: There are two patties, one made with beef, the other with mac
‘n’ cheese (yes, you read that correctly). As if that wasn’t enough, the two-tier tower is drenched with a ladleful of mac ‘n’ cheese. Defibrillator not included.

The burger: Belleburger
The deal: French onion soup, now in burger form. Available only for the lunch crowd, the marvelously messy creation features a ladle of soup, plus Madeira caramelized onions, a slab of gooey Gruyere, and garlicky mayo. Don’t worry; staffers bring you a towelette when you’re done.

Sugar Factory, Miami, Florida
The burger: South Beach Flair
The deal: A grass fed Angus beef burger with chipotle mayonnaise, pepper jack cheese, caramelized onions, chimichurri sauce, and fried sweet plantains.

Nick + Stef’s Steakhouse, Los Angeles, California
The burger: Buck Fifty Burger
The deal: Available only for the month of May, the ridiculously over the top burger will set you back $150. The patty is made with 35-day dry-aged beef and then stuffed with red wine braised oxtail, shaved Wagyu A5, and maple seared foie gras. Hook’s 10-year aged cheddar, truffles, and a butter poached lobster tail top it off. As if that wasn’t enough, it comes with gold dusted (!!!) fries and a savory potato milkshake with caviar whipped cream.

Holsteins, Las Vegas, Nevada
The burger: Billionaire Burger
The deal: A Kobe beef patty decked out with foie gras, port onion marmalade, and truffle mayo. If you post a pic of it, make sure you tag it #livingmybestlife.

The burger: db Burger
The deal: Served on a toasted parmesan and poppy seed bun, the ground sirloin patty is stuffed with red wine-braised short ribs and foie gras, and comes crowned with fresh horseradish and oven roasted tomato confit.

Morton’s the Steakhouse-Downtown, Washington, D.C.
The burger: Surf & Turf
The deal: The half-pound Wagyu patty is piled high with truffled lobster salad, plus Gruyere cheese and LTO.

The burger: 50/50 Burger
The deal: Made with half ground beef and half Neuske’s applewood smoked bacon, the primo patty is finished off with onion jam and pepper jack cheese. Definitely not your average bacon cheeseburger. Available at brunch and lunch, it’s 50% off on Fridays through Labor Day.
