Lobster ABC Trending on Recent OpenTable Restaurant Reviews: Lobster
This is the delectable Fourchu lobster special I had last time I dined at ABC Kitchen.

I won’t debate the existence of global warming (only because I happen to believe it is absolutely a real thing!), but, wherever you stand on it, you may have noticed that an unseasonably mild winter and a scorcher of a summer have been causing some problems in certain parts of the  food world. Farmers in the midwest are facing the worst drought conditions in a generation, and there is a large surplus of lobsters, which is leading to lower income for lobstermen. OpenTable diners have been doing their part to help by ordering up the terribly tasty crustacean creatures in droves. Find out what they’re saying about the inventive lobster dishes they’ve been eating.

801 Chophouse Leawood, Leawood, Kansas: “ I started with the lobster corn chowder, which was a true treat. One of the best soups I have had in a long time.”

Adara, Montclair, New Jersey: “We couldn’t wait to see what each new course would bring! The rolls were wonderful, and the lobster in a veil was a treat.”

Central Michel Richard, Washington, D.C.: “Fun atmosphere, exceptional food, friendly and efficient service. Cheese puff pastry appetizer, crab cake, gazpacho soup, lobster burger, and scallops are especially noteworthy.”

Cili, Las Vegas, Nevada: “This is the best lobster salad on the planet!”

* The Cottage Chestnut Hill, Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts: “We had terrific omelets, a great lobster cobb salad, and delicious French toast.”

Magnolia’s, Charleston, South Carolina: “Of special note, the grits with mixed grilled shellfish in lobster butter was incredible.”

* The Mermaid Inn Uptown, New York, New York: “I had the Lobster Palooza, which included one of the most tasty lobsters I have had in years.”

* Mister Collins, Bar Harbour, Florida: “The food was delish. I had the shrimp ceviche from the lunch menu and the lobster benedict from the brunch menu. Loved both items. I would no doubt come back for dinner.”

Per Se, New York, New York: “My favorite courses were the butter poached lobster with smoked toasted hazelnuts and the beef medallion that was both flavorful and and the perfect temperature.”

* Scampo at the Liberty Hotel, Boston, Massachusetts: “Lobster pizza and Veuve Clicquot, a match made in heaven!”

* Varka Fishhouse, Ramsey, New Jersey: “He had the grilled octopus and I had the lobster gyros for apps. All were great.”

I ate at Mac’s Steakhouse and was appauled at the drop in customere service. First the wait attendant was slow about taking our order and then the meat was undercooked and then the fries were old and grease logged. I sent them back and exchanged them for Sweet potato fries(no salt) and you guessed it, they came with salt and overcooked. The wait attendant did not tell management, did not apologize and then charged me addtional for changing to sweet potato fries, needless to say it was not a good expierence. I called the manager(Brian) and he made not effort to correct anything, I did however get an apology and that was that. I do not feel that I was taken seriously and mean much as far as I could tell. I will not be returning to this establishment again because this was not handled in a manner that would make you feel you made any difference to them.
