I am admin for a Rockaways Hurricane Sandy Facebook group. I noted this event is by-invitation-only. How would community members from the Rockaways get invited to such a dinner? How can I direct people in-need to be served by this event?

Also, many poor in the Rockaways would be challenged to even make it to Manhattan for this event. What is being done for people affected by Sandy in the outer boroughs (Staten Island, Brooklyn and Queens)?

I am maintaining a list of Thanksgiving events for my group. I'm just not sure if I should list this event if there's no way that people from the community could enjoy it. Sort of like dangling food in front of a starving child, if you get my drift.
